Pure Golf Rewards Program Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 21, 2025
Welcome to the Pure Golf Rewards Program (the “Pure Golf Program”), administered by GolfCard Financial Services, Inc., or its parent company, affiliates, or service providers (collectively, “GolfCard,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Pure Golf Rewards Program Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your participation in the Program and incorporate by reference the GolfCard Terms of Service, available at https://www.thegolfcard.com/terms-of-service, and the GolfCard Privacy Policy, available at https://www.thegolfcard.com/privacy-policy. Any capitalized terms in these Terms that aren’t defined here have the same meanings as in the GolfCard Terms of Service.

Through the Pure Golf Program, you may earn points (“Points”) based on activities and transactions in your credit card account (“Card Account”) issued to you by Celtic Bank (“Issuer”) under a separate Card Account agreement. You may exchange the Points for Pure Golf Program benefits (“Rewards”). This Program is offered to you and managed exclusively by GolfCard. The Issuer is not responsible for and does not administer the Pure Golf Program.

Your Card Account must be open and in good standing to be eligible to earn Points and redeem Points for Rewards.

Your Issuer credit card is automatically enrolled in the Pure Golf Program. By participating in the Pure Golf Program, you agree to these Terms. By agreeing to these Terms and participating in the Pure Golf Program, you give GolfCard, its partners, agents, employees, and representatives explicit permission and instruction to act as your agent to access your Card Account data to calculate and award Points to you.
1. Earning Points
You only earn Points on purchases. You earn Points through purchases on your Card Account as follows:
  • 3 Points for each $1 of purchases made on golf-related spending;
  • 2 Points for each $1 of purchases made at travel and dining merchants;
  • 1 Point for each $1 of all other purchases.
Points are earned at the close of your monthly billing cycle based on purchases you made during that billing cycle, plus any bonus points earned during that billing cycle, and, minus any returns or refunds. If you have more returns or refunds than Points earned from purchases or bonuses, we will deduct Points from your total Points balance, and you may have a negative Points balance. Any subsequent Points you earn will first be applied to reduce the negative balance and you will not be able to use Points until your Points balance is positive. We describe how we classify the earning categories below.

When calculating Points, we multiply the transaction amount by the applicable earning rate. If the result includes a fraction, we round to the nearest whole number. Amounts ending in .5 or higher round up, and amounts below .5 round down. Rounding occurs on each individual transaction, not on the total amount of Points earned over multiple transactions.

Most of the time, buying products and services with your credit card will count as a purchase. However, you won’t earn Points for the following: (a) balance transfers; (b) cash advances; (c) travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions; (d) gambling, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, wagers or betting; (e) loads or reloads of balances on gift cards or prepaid cards or cash equivalents, (f) person-to-person payments, (g) any checks that access your account; (h) interest; (i) unlawful, unauthorized or fraudulent charges; or (j) fees of any kind, including any annual fee and fees for products that protect or insure the balances of your account.

Golf-Related Purchases: We define golf-related purchases as:
  1. Purchases made at golf courses, such as greens fees, shop purchases, and food
  2. Purchases made at golf retailers, including sporting goods stores
  3. Purchases made at brands whose primary products are in the golf industry
  4. Purchases made towards lessons or tours where golf is the primary focus
GolfCard uses information such as a merchant's name, the merchant category code, and other public information about a merchant to determine whether, in its sole discretion, a purchase qualifies as golf-related spending. Purchase determinations are based on the merchant, not on the specific goods or services in your purchase; GolfCard does not have access to that level of information.

Travel and Dining Purchases: We define travel and dining purchases based exclusively on the merchant category codes.

All Other Purchases: Purchases that do not fall within the above categories qualify as “all other purchases.”

Promotional Offers and Bonus Points: We may offer promotions or bonus offers from time to time that will allow you to earn additional Points, as set forth by the terms of the promotion or bonus offer. You’ll learn more about the number of bonus Points you can earn and any other terms at the time of the offer. The additional terms will be part of this agreement.
  • 20,000 Bonus Points After You Spend $4,000 On Purchases In The First 90 Days From Account Opening: This one-time promotion is limited to customers opening a new account.  The new cardmember bonus will not be available to you if you previously held this card, have a current GolfCard account open, or received a new cardmember bonus for your existing card. We may also consider the number of cards you have opened and closed, as well as other factors in determining your bonus eligibility. To qualify and receive your bonus, you must make purchases totaling $4,000 or more during the first 90 days from the date that your application was approved. (Purchases do not include balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, and fees of any kind, including an annual fee, if applicable).  Purchases must post to your account during the 90-day promotional period.  Returns, credits and adjustments to this card will be deducted from purchases, even if this card was not the original payment method.  To be eligible for this bonus offer, your account must be open with active charging privileges, and not in default at the time of fulfillment.  Bonus points will be awarded within 6 weeks after both qualifying activity is met and the applicable annual fee has been paid, whichever occurs later.
Purchase Categories and Merchant Category Codes: Merchants are assigned a merchant category code by the card networks (here, Mastercard) based on the products or services they sell. We do not control these codes. Merchants, not us, categorize and submit purchases, meaning some purchases may not fall into the category you expect them to. If this occurs, those purchases won't qualify for additional Points. Further, purchases made via mobile technology may not earn additional Points depending on how the technology is used to make the purchase. GolfCard, in its sole discretion, determines how purchases qualify for which earning category.

Disputes. Disputes regarding Points are not treated as Card Account billing disputes. Any disputes concerning Points or Rewards will not affect your payment obligation on your Card Account. All reviewed decisions are final.

2. Redeeming Points for Rewards

Redemption Methods. You may redeem your earned Points for Rewards, including for Rewards in our GolfCard online reward catalog, a statement credit, or with certain merchant partners (“Partners”). We may add, change, or remove Rewards, Partners, or offers at any time and the Partner may change any Rewards it makes available through the Pure Golf Program at any time. We do not guarantee the continued availability of any Reward or redemption opportunity.

Reward-Specific Terms and Conditions. Certain terms may apply to certain Rewards; for example, we describe additional terms for statement credits below. Partners may impose terms and conditions or eligibility requirements on Rewards you redeem through them. Sometimes, you may be required to accept additional terms and conditions before redeeming Points for a Reward. If we impose additional terms and conditions on a Reward, we will let you know before you redeem Points for that Reward. Please carefully read all terms before you redeem Points for a Reward.

Statement Credits. If you have accrued at least 2,500 Points (or a cash value for statement credits only of at least $25.00), you may use Points to convert to a statement credit on your Card Account. The value of Points redeemed for cash back for statement credits is a minimum of $0.01. Any Points you use for statement credits will not be directly applied to your minimum payment due on your monthly billing statement. You are still responsible for making your minimum payment due on your monthly statement by the statement due date. The Issuer is not responsible for any aspect of the statement credit redemption, including delays or errors in Points conversions.

Additional Information about Redeeming Points for Rewards
  • Authority. Only you are authorized to redeem Points for Rewards.
  • No affiliation with Partners. Partners are not affiliated with or responsible for administering the Pure Golf Program.
  • Insufficient Points for a Reward. If your Point balance falls below what is needed to redeem a Reward, including after you’ve redeemed a Reward, we may stop fulfillment of that Reward. This may happen, for example, if you return a purchase.
  • Cancelling a Reward. If you redeem Points for a Reward and want to cancel redemption, you can email support@thegolfcard.com to attempt to cancel the Reward before we or the Partner fulfills it. Once Points have been redeemed for a Reward, or if we or the Partner have begun fulfilling the Reward, we cannot make changes to the Reward or refund you Points. Because the fulfillment process for each Reward is different, we reserve the right to determine when the fulfillment of a Reward has begun.
  • Reward cannot be fulfilled. If a Reward cannot be fulfilled, we will notify you that we cannot do so and you will receive a credit for the Points you used to redeem the Reward.
  • Point value may vary. Point value may vary depending on the Reward being redeemed.
  • Disputes with Partners. If a dispute arises between you and a Partner regarding a Reward you received, or should have received, from the Partner, it is solely between you and the Partner. You must make a claim directly with the Partner, and you acknowledge that we are not responsible for any such claim.
Property Interest. Points have no cash value (unless and until redeemed through an option expressly allowing for cash redemption). You may not assign, transfer, or pledge your Points or any Rewards, including by any operation of law (e.g., divorce, inheritance, etc.). You have no property rights or other legal interest in your Points or Rewards. You cannot assign or pledge your Points.

Taxes. You are responsible for determining any tax liability arising from your participation in the Program. You should discuss any potential tax consequences with a tax advisor.

3. Point Expiration; Account Closure; Suspension, or Forfeiture; Fraud, Abuse, or Suspicious Activity

Expiration of Points; Card Account Closure. Your Points will not expire if your Card Account is open, active, and in good standing. However, if your Card Account is closed for any reason, your Card Account balance is charged off, your unpaid balance is discharged for bankruptcy proceedings, or in the event of your death, you will, to the extent permitted by law, forfeit any unredeemed Points you have earned, and any unredeemed Rewards will be voided.

Suspension, Loss, or Forfeiture of Points or Rewards. If your Card Account is delinquent, suspended, or is placed on hold for any reason, Points may stop accruing, and the Points you earned from your Card Account will not be available for redemption. If your Card Account is restored to good standing, we will reinstate any previously earned and unexpired Points.

Fraud, Abuse, Gaming, or Suspicious Activity. If GolfCard determines that you have engaged, or are attempting to engage, in fraud, abuse, misuse, or gaming of the Pure Golf Program, or you otherwise violate these Terms, GolfCard may, in its sole discretion, temporarily suspend your ability to earn or redeem Points, revoke earned Points, close your Card Account, and/or take legal action to recover Points redeemed because of such activity and to recover any of our monetary losses, including damages and litigation costs.

Such prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
  • Violating applicable law;
  • Violating your Card Account agreement;
  • Submitting false information or conducting other fraudulent activity;
  • Purchasing or selling Points, whether directly or indirectly;
  • Repeatedly opening, maintaining, or closing credit card accounts primarily to generate Points;
  • Engaging in manufactured spending or other transactional manipulation intended to artificially generate Points;
  • Using the credit card predominantly for business or commercial transactions rather than for personal use; or
  • Any other activity that GolfCard determines, in its sole discretion, is inconsistent with the intended purpose of the Pure Golf Program.
4. Program Changes or Termination
We may change these Terms at any time. We will give you 45 days’ notice if we make a material change to these terms, such as limiting or reducing how you can earn, accumulate, or use Points, or if we cancel the Pure Golf Program. These changes may prevent you from earning or using Points, redeeming Points for Rewards, decrease the value of Points, or cause you to lose Points. We will provide you with this notice electronically as set forth in the GolfCard E-SIGN Agreement. We will notify you of other changes to the Pure Golf Program or these Terms by posting an updated copy on our website and mobile application. We may supplement these Terms with additional conditions, disclosures, and agreements.
If we terminate the Pure Golf Program, you will have 90 days after the date we provide you notice to redeem your Points.

Your sole remedy for disputes regarding these Terms will be crediting or re-crediting Points to you in an amount no greater than the Points that were the subject of the dispute.

Severability; Waiver. If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure or delay in exercising any right does not waive that right.
